Hey guys! I know it’s been nearly a month since my last post, but I’ve been really busy with my modeling and acting stuff (follow @koolcurlie1 on Twitter and Instagram for updates on my personal life).
The good news is, I’ve found some new things to write about for all of you! 🙂
As you can probably tell from the title, I’m going to start sharing some of my style secrets with you guys!
Let’s get started:
1) So you go into this awesome store and find a ton of cute things that you wanna try on. There may or may not be a limit on how many items you can hgace in the fitting room at once. Even if there is, organize your items. Instead of just throwing everything randomly on the bars in the room, organize everything in a way that makes sense to you!
For example, when I go shopping I like to put my outfits together so I know what to try on with what.
Here, I have all of the skirts with the matching tops hung up together.
I had a shirt that didn’t match any of the skirts so I put it with jeans and this adorable leather jacket! Since these were kinda the “oddballs” of the group, if you will, I put them on their own bar.
And lastly, I hung all of the dresses up together!
This is what works for me, but organize the fitting room however YOU want!
2) Side braids. If you’re like me and really thick (and possibly really curly) hair, then you know how hard it is to even braid your hair normally (which usually includes making sure your hair is soaking wet to make it more manageable).
Even if your hair isn’t super curly and/or thick, you can still try this for a super-cute new look!
-Start off by braiding your hair to one side. I always do my left, but do whatever you want!
I always get these really annoying pieces of hair that don’t fit into the braid and just kinda stick up in every direction.
-Next, take a ponytail holder and put it at the top of the braid right next to your head.
This will help keep some of those random pieces of hair in place. You could also use bobby pins instead. I prefer to use the ponytail holder since bobby pins don’t work too well in my hair.
-Lastly, add a cute headband!
This will hide anymore loose hair.
The perfect side braid! 💜
