Hey there, this is Kristen Madsen, a guest content creator here on Beautiful Chaos. Today I wanted to introduce you to an amazing organization called Love Your Melon.

Alongside a travel mug of coffee and a semi-cute backpack, a Love Your Melon beanie has become a staple among college students in recent years. These hats are more than just a fashion statement, they’re a tangible way to show support for children with cancer.

The Love Your Melon organization was founded in 2012 as a part of an entrepreneurship class at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota by two friends, Zachary and Brian. On a mission to improve the lives of children battling cancer, the goal of the organization is to give one million dollars to pediatric cancer research and provide immediate support and encouragement to kids and their families. Love Your Melon intends to reach this goal by donating 50% of all their sales to their nonprofit partners in the fight against pediatric cancer.

How to Style Your Beanie:

Single Braid: Keep your hair neat and simple and then put the beanie over the top. Pull out a couple of loose strands along the sides, and tug on the braid to loosen it and create texture. This works best with fishtail braids or the traditional simple braid.

2. Two Braids: Regardless of the length of your hair you can’t go wrong with double braids poking out from under your beanie. It’s a cute and casual style that makes you look like you put in much more effort than you did. This works best with Dutch or French braids.
