South Dakota Film Festival 2018

Over the weekend, I was lucky enough to be able to attend the South Dakota Film Festival in Aberdeen, SD where one of the student films I did last semester was showing. One of the clubs on my campus took a group of students to the festival, where we stayed for three days and two nights.

I am extremely grateful to the South Dakota Film Festival for accepting and screening “Finale of Seem,” and for being amazing hosts this weekend. It’s every actor’s dream to have their work shown at a festival, big or small, and I know this is just the beginning! If you’d like to keep up with my acting and modeling, please like my Facebook page; there’s a link at the end of this post! If you’d like to watch “Finale of Seem”, please click here.

For day one of the festival, I kept my outfit casual since we were traveling. I wore jeans, a suede tank top with fringes, and a leather jacket. This photo was taken at the after party we attended.

Day two was the day “Finale of Seem” was showing, so I dressed up a little bit. I wore black tights, a black skater skirt, a floral print crop top, and a pinkish overdyed jean jacket with studs. For makeup, I stepped it up a notch from what I usually do, including fake eyelashes.  Click through the slideshow below to see the look with and without the jacket. There’s also a photo of me with Zach Howatt, who was the amazing director for this project! This project was so much fun, and I can’t wait to work with him again in the future!

Day three was another travel day, but I still wanted to  look nice! I wore this black and floral print dress with my leather jacket and flats. I wanted to wear tights again because it was chilly, but they ripped day two.  I did natural makeup, except for the winged eyeliner.

Again, I would like to thank the people at South Dakota Film Festival and MSUM for a great weekend! I am truly so grateful for this experience and hope to go back next year!
