Plain White T’s are more than the band that sings “Hey There Delilah”, it’s also an essential piece of clothing that every girl needs at least one of. As a model and an actress, I always have one in my model bag for castings and auditions. Here are a few different ways that you can style a plain white T-shirt:
Casual Date Night: For a casual night out with your BF, significant other, or even your besties, take a plain white T-shirt and pair it with a skirt and some heels or wedges. I paired mine with a straighter-cut skirt in navy blue from Forever 21 and a pair of red wedges. (Flats would also work if you don’t like wearing heels, or if you’re going to be dancing a lot.)
All-American: Everyone loves to have that “All-American” look sometimes. I put on some skinny jeans with my white T-shirt, though boyfriend jeans would be super-cute too! To finish off the look, I tied a plaid shirt around my waist (but you could wear it like I did in one of the pictures), put on my white Converse, and found a really cute beanie from Bethany Mota’s collection at Aero.
Leather Jacket: If you’ve ready here before, you probably know that one of my favorite things is a leather jacket. Paired with skinny jeans and black flats, it’s a casual, but still put-together look.
Blazer: For a slightly dressier look, I put on a red blazer. This adds a pop of color, while still looking professional. I think this look would be cute to wear if you had an informal job interview, but still wanted to look nice. If you work a retail job at a mall, this would also be something that’d be cute and professional-looking. I paired this with a pearl necklace and headband for a slightly girly touch.
As you can see, there are so many things that you can do with a plain white T-shirt. Of course, you’re not limited to just this list– there are obviously days that we’re all lazy and throw on a T-shirt with a pair of sweats with our hair in a messy bun.
